Introduction
Welcome to the degree in Business Engineering: the only degree in the Spanish university system that combines Engineering, ICT Information Technology, Business Management and Sustainable Development.
You will finish the degree being a true dynamize and manager of change in areas as relevant as digital and ecological transformation, quality and continuous improvement.
In the Degree in Business Engineering
- You will acquire the knowledge and tools to evaluate the entire organizational environment. You will also be able to identify, formulate and develop digital and ecological transformation projects, quality and continuous improvement. Without a doubt, you will have the basis for excellent business management.
- You will be able to successfully face the challenges of a complex, competitive business future full of technological changes. Always in the context of the new European requirements for a green economy within the framework of sustainable development.
- You will develop four types of competencies throughout the degree. On the one hand, those of the branch of engineering (mathematics, algebra, calculus, computing and computer science, etc.) and those linked to business management (organization, management, operations, logistics, production, etc.). Both are the foundation for advanced competencies, such as the use of artificial intelligence strategies, quality management, operations, production, business continuity and sustainability. On the other hand, your training will be completed with essential skills: ethical behavior, respect, tolerance, integrity, social commitment, and cultural diversity.
- As a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) professional, you will become a nomad of knowledge and innovation, with the skills to face the challenges of the future.
- You will boost your international profile through a study program in which the sixth semester will be taught in English. In addition, we will accompany you in a process of progressive training in this language so that you reach the B2 level required for that semester.
- You will live the reality of the company on campus. The modern practicum developed by UIE includes activities such as: workshops, visits to companies, conferences, meetings with entrepreneurs and managers, etc.
- You will learn from professionals with extensive experience and accredited academic qualifications, a key aspect for you to learn to do.
- We will provide you with your first work experience through the internship program, which is part of the contents of the degree.

Since UIE is a private university, the Degree in Business Engineering does not have a cut-off grade. Therefore, in addition to assessing your academic record and your grades, the results of the admission test and the personal interview that will allow us to get to know you better will have weight in our decision.

Curriculum

Scholarships and Funding
With our scholarship and aid program, we seek to support all those students who stand out for their daily effort and excellence, also taking into account their economic and family circumstances.
From UIE we are committed to investing 15% of our income in the scholarship program. We know that by combining your talent with the most innovative training and the necessary means, we can build together the society of the future!
Scholarships for excellence
The Excellence Scholarships reward students who are a true example of effort and talent, regardless of their economic or family situation.
The objective of these scholarships is to recognize the effort and stimulate students in the constant search for excellence, determination and improvement.
How many scholarships are awarded?
A scholarship is awarded for each of the degrees, on both campuses.
What is the economic value of the scholarship?
This is a reduction of up to 90% of the total price of the program.
Who can apply?
All students who accredit an average grade equal to or greater than 8 (out of 10).
Is the scholarship annual?
Yes, scholarships are awarded for each academic year, and, for their renewal, the student will have to have a weighted average grade at the University equal to or greater than 7 (out of 10)
Talent Scholarships
To facilitate access to university degrees, this type of scholarship takes into account, in addition to the academic record of the candidates, their economic and family situation. To this end, a scale has been established that determines the criteria for its concession.
How many scholarships are awarded?
It will depend on the resources available for scholarships and the number of applications received.
Who can apply?
Students with an average high school grade equal to or greater than 7 (out of 10)
Students enrolling in at least 60 credits
Students without a previous university degree
Students whose family income is within the thresholds of each call
What is its economic value?
For the academic year 2022/2023 they will cover a maximum of 60% of the academic fee according to the scale indicated in the bases.
Is the scholarship annual?
The Talent Scholarships are awarded for the four years of the degree, but are renewed annually. To renew them, the scholarship holder must also fulfill their commitment to the UIE obtaining a weighted average of 7 or higher (out of 10) and completing the semester hours of dedication to activities of participation in university life and social commitment.
Are the UIE scholarships compatible with those of other institutions?
Yes, as long as the joint amount does not exceed the cost of your studies at UIE.
