Introduction
About the course and differentials
Evaluated by MEC with Grade 4, the course enables the student to develop projects, operate industries, develop new products and chemical processes and make production feasible by improving a chemical or biochemical process. The Chemical Engineer is a professional who can participate in all stages of the chemical industry, from project design to the final product, as well as research and socio-environmental issues.
Since its inception in 2010, the Chemical Engineering course at SENAI CETIQT has aimed to keep up with market needs. As of 2013, with a new schedule, the course has an even greater focus on Engineer training, expanding the workload of specific disciplines.
The objective of the course is to train generalist professionals with a solid background in basic sciences such as physics, chemistry, mathematics and biology and who are capable of designing, supervising, elaborating and coordinating processes of various natures.
The student performs practical activities in the laboratory, studies basic theoretical content of Engineering (Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics) and specific content (Unit Operations, Transport Phenomena, Thermodynamics, etc). Thus, graduates are qualified to work in areas such as Project Management and Industrial Production, as well as in the Environmental area.
The differential of the graduation in Chemical Engineering at Faculdade SENAI CETIQT is its integration with the Chemical and Textile industry of Rio de Janeiro and Brazil. SENAI CETIQT is a traditional trainer of professionals of excellence for these sectors. SENAI's tradition in training professionals for the industry enables the placement of graduates in the market, combined with the excellent infrastructure of the CETIQT Campus and a faculty that has more than 70% of Masters and Doctors.
Job market
The SENAI CETIQT Faculty has a tradition of bringing highly qualified professionals to the job market to meet the demands of the chemical and textile chain in all its extension. The student graduated from the Bachelor of Chemical Engineering course will be able to meet the demands of all segments of the Chemical Industry, such as Petrochemicals, Textiles, Food, Oil and Gas, Innovation, Pharmaceuticals, among others. The environmental area is also a promising field for the student graduated from SENAI CETIQT, which has subjects such as Environmental Engineering and Effluent Treatment in its curriculum.
