Bachelor in Civil Engineering

The Civil Engineering Department (CED) of the Superior School of Technology and Management (ESTG) began his Bachelor course in Civil Engineering in the academic year 1993/94, having put in the labor market its first graduates at the beginning of the year 1997.

In the academic year 1999/2000, based on 413-A decree No. / 98 of July 17, came into operation the course of bietápica degree in Civil Engineering, having put in the labor market its first graduates in 2001 .

The degree course in Civil Engineering, suitable according to the Bologna Process, began operating in the academic year 2007/08, having put in the labor market its first graduates in 2010.

The Evaluation Agency and Accreditation of Higher Education (A3ES) decided in 2013 believe the DEC courses (degree in Civil Engineering and a Masters in Construction and Rehabilitation Engineering) for a maximum.

The senior technicians trained in ESTG-DEC will be able to intervene in several multidisciplinary areas, which are highlighted as follows:

• direction of works;
• supervision and coordination of works;
• project design and coordination;
• maintenance services and sites management;
• technical support to enterprises;
• quality control services;
• ability to promote activity in the field of self-employment, whether in the corporate form, either in the profession regime;
• technical staff of institutions of central and local government.
