Introduction
The tourism industry is growing worldwide and events have also established themselves as experience-oriented event concepts in culture, sport, tourism and business. As instruments, they have become an indispensable part of modern marketing communication. The Bachelor's degree program "Tourism & Event Management" takes up the impulses and opportunities that arise from the interaction of these two growth markets and offers students at EBC University a balanced and sophisticated curriculum in both disciplines. The course content is geared to the current requirements and task profiles of the tourism and event industry, as compiled for training and further education by the umbrella organization for direct business communication (FAMAB/FME) and the German Society for Tourism Studies (DGT).
Study content »Tourism & Event Management«
In addition to the basic business training that the "Tourism & Event Management" course offers, the tourism and event management course is expanded to include a wide range of subjects from the tourism and event industry. Lectures such as "International Tourism Geography", "Mega-Events in the Tourism and Event Industry" or "Case Study: Experience-Oriented Theme Worlds" as well as practical tourism and event projects prepare the students of the EBC University from the very beginning for leading management tasks in the tourism and event industry.
Praxisnahes und internationales Managementstudium
The Event and Tourism Management course includes an internship at home and abroad, in which EBC University students can apply their professional interests in different companies and departments before choosing their specialization in the course. This makes it easier to decide on a specialization and provides valuable practical experience that prepares them for their upcoming career entry. In the "Tourism & Event Management" course, hotel chains, event agencies, companies (communications department), airlines, cruise companies, but also political and cultural institutions and associations are available as internship partners.
Studying abroad not only consolidates the foreign language skills acquired through intensive EBC language training, but our students also acquire intercultural skills, get to know the country and its culture, and make valuable contacts. The most popular partner universities for tourism and event studies are James Cook University in Townsville/Cairns, the European Business School in Dublin, Prince of Songkla University in Thailand, and ESC La Rochelle in France. In total, our EBC students can choose from over 85 partner universities.
