Introduction

DESCRIPTION

Higher education in Hotel Management aims to provide the development of technical and relational skills that contribute to the organization, implementation and evaluation of solutions in the various areas of the hotel industry, in a national and international context.
The ISAG Hotel Manager is prepared to develop a wide range of functions and activities in the management of hotel and tourism services, in terms of operations management, marketing and communication, human resources management, leadership and finance.

SKILLS TO ACQUIRE

  • Define and/or participate with the administration in the elaboration of proposals for the definition of the strategy and general policies of management of the hotel establishment;
  • Plan and schedule the annual activity;
  • Prepare or participate in the preparation of annual budgets;
  • Define the specific objectives and operating rules with the heads of the departments;
  • Study and elaborate technical proposals on the expansion of the business and the restructuring of the establishment;
  • Define and/or collaborate in defining the commercial and marketing policy;
  • Define and/or collaborate in defining the human resources policy;
  • Master principles and codes of hygiene, maintenance and safety of facilities and equipment;
  • Manage operations at accommodation level;
  • Promote food and beverage service operations

PROFESSIONAL OUTINGS

Depending on the size, typology and management philosophy of the hotel companies, graduates in Hotel Management will be able to perform functions of leadership, assistant director of the various departments, namely in the areas of accommodation, food and beverages, sales and marketing, or animation, more specifically :

  • Hotel Director;
  • Management and administration of national or international companies/hotel units;
  • Hotel Management in the Financial, Administrative, Marketing and Commercial Areas | Human resource Management;
  • Housekeeping and Accommodation Management;
  • Food and Beverage Management.
