Erasmus University College (EUC) is the international three-year Bachelor programme (BSc) in Liberal Arts and Sciences, offered by Erasmus University Rotterdam. Nestled in the heart of Rotterdam, Erasmus University College (EUC) finds its home in a magnificently restored former library, dating back to 1923. This iconic building, a survivor of World War II, stands tall as a symbol of resilience and knowledge, providing a unique and inspiring backdrop for your academic journey.

Historic building with modern facilities: Completely renovated in 2011, the EUC building seamlessly blends historic charm with cutting-edge amenities. Inside, you'll find excellent study facilities, including open-space study areas, 19 purpose-built, high-tech tutorial rooms, and a well-equipped library.

City centre experience: As a city campus, EUC offers a dynamic learning environment right in the centre of Rotterdam. Immerse yourself in the bustling energy of the city, surrounded by its cultural richness and countless opportunities waiting to be explored.

Close proximity to amenities: Convenience is at your doorstep. EUC is located near various iconic spots, such as the market area, Pannekoekstraat with cosy cafes, Markthal, and Meent shopping district. Savour a vibrant student life with easy access to entertainment, dining, and shopping options.

Access to larger university facilities: EUC's campus is well-connected to the main campus of Erasmus University Rotterdam, a quick 15-minute bike ride away. This means you can easily enjoy access to extensive sports and study facilities and other valuable resources offered by the university.

Housing at EUC

  • EUC guarantees city centre housing at LUCIA residence for first-year students
  • Living together fosters friendships and enhances the academic community
  • While living together is required, it can be waived upon request
  • In 2nd and 3rd year you need to arrange your own housing but the Student Life Officer and Student Association can offer guidance and support.

    General admission requirements
    • Secondary school diploma that qualifies for university enrolment. A few examples: Dutch VWO, French Baccalauréat, German Abitur, International Baccalaureate, and GCE A-Levels.
    • A grade average of minimum 70%.
    • Solid foundation in mathematics.
    • Proficiency in spoken and written English.
    Selection procedure
    EUC accepts 218 first-year students per year. As a challenging bachelor, we carefully evaluate candidates for our programme, keeping in mind their grades and letter of motivation. However, we look beyond the numbers and seek individuals who demonstrate passion, curiosity, and a genuine desire to learn. Our selection process aims to understand your unique potential and how you can contribute to our dynamic academic environment.

    Erasmus University College (EUC) offers several scholarships and grants:

    • Rotterdam Talent Scholarship -For students who live and/or go to school within the municipality of Rotterdam who can prove a need for substantial financial assistance
    • EUC Scholarship -The EUC Scholarship is meant for highly qualified students from any country who can prove that they require financial aid to be able to study at EUC
    • NL Scholarship -The Holland Scholarship is meant for international students from outside the European Economic Area (EEA)
    • Dutch Government Student Finance -Most Dutch students are eligible for student finance from the Dutch government. Under certain conditions, non-Dutch, EEA students may also qualify for such student finance
    • Third-Party Grant -Depending on your nationality and your financial status, different types of financial aid are available

    After EUC

    1. Postgraduate studies

    EUC, being part of Erasmus University, offers the opportunity to easily transition into Master’s programs at Erasmus Medical Centre, Rotterdam School of Management, or Erasmus School of Economics after graduation, based on the courses you choose.

    Our graduates have also been accepted into Master programmes at universities such as: Bocconi University, King's College London, London School of Economics, Oxford University, Sciences Po Paris, University of Edinburgh and Utrecht University.
