The purpose of the BCom Hons in Strategic Management is to provide students with a deepened knowledge and understanding of constructing and implementing organizational strategies in a complex adaptive social environment. They should further be able to conduct and report on research in the discipline of strategic management practices to develop and implement organizational strategies.

The purpose of the BCom (Marketing Management) program is to provide students with the knowledge base, theories, and methods of marketing management.

The purpose of the BCom / BCom Hons in Logistics Management is to develop intellectual competencies and practical skills in the acquisition, interpretation, understanding, and application of logistics management principles.

The purpose of the BCom in Information Management is to provide qualifying students with: intellectual competencies and practical skills in the acquisition, analysis, interpretation, and application of basic and advanced information management principles in the different functional units of the business organization; the ability to reflect on their managerial decisions and applications and to assess the effect thereof in the holistic context of information and knowledge management as a practice; and knowledge in preparation for a career in the information management field, as well as to provide a basis for further learning.

The purpose of the BA in Public Management and Governance is to provide qualifying students with substantive, theoretical, and intellectual knowledge, cognitive and research skills such as critical reasoning, data mining, and processing, problem-solving, interpretation, analytical and evaluative skills; communication skills and a normative basis in line with internationally accepted dimensions of “good governance”.

Strategic Communication Honours facilitate both theoretical and applied competence in strategic communication. Specialized knowledge of strategic communication theory facilitates the ability to critically review, consolidate and extend strategic communication theory to create appropriate responses and to resolve abstract contextual strategic communication problems.
