The BFA in Music Scoring & Composition is designed for those students who wish to focus on music composition and scoring for film, television, games, and other visual media. Balancing musicianship training with production skills to reflect a changing music industry, students will learn music theory, composition, harmony, orchestration, and arranging, focusing on creating emotion through music in synchronization with visual media.

Our Jazz Programme ‘New York Comes to Groningen’, offered by Hanze University of Applied Sciences, Groningen, is unique in the world for two reasons:1. Alongside the strong Groningen staff, top New York artists travel to Groningen to teach in our programme on a rotating schedule. Every week of the year, you’ll be able to learn from another New York artist, allowing you to develop yourself into a professional jazz artist.2. All students (bachelor and master) work with all of the NY-artists, irrespective of the student’s instrument. Bachelor’s courses include theory, ear training, composing, arranging and a wide variety of workshops. In addition, there are ongoing weekly lessons from a world-class Dutch faculty.

Trevecca’s Bachelor of Music in theory and composition is a professional degree accredited by the National Association of the Schools of Music which equips you with knowledge and skills in both traditional and technological compositional methods. The Bachelor of Science in Music with a concentration in Theory and Composition offers a comprehensive foundation in music theory and analysis. The Bachelor of Arts in Music is designed for students wishing to pursue a career in music and further their education through graduate studies in music. The program was designed in 2011 to offer students a well-rounded education with coursework in music theory, music history, and music performance.

Urshan is honoured to serve the needs of Apostolic students who are seeking higher professional music degrees. The Bachelor of Music was created to prepare students for graduate studies while simultaneously developing church music skills.

Our college recognizes the importance of Christian music in worship services and evangelistic outreach. A wide variety of courses are offered to prepare a Christian worker for music ministry.

The Bachelor of Music Education degree leads to K-12 Music teacher certification in the state of Florida.

The first two semesters lay the foundation for the programme. The basics of traditional and western music are imparted in practice-oriented courses as well as in the areas of instrumental and project work (studio, ensemble, stage). Business basics are also taught.

**Effective immediately, the Music I program will be suspending admissions for the September 2024 intake as the program undergoes a redesign.** Prospective applicants with an interest in pursuing a degree in Music are encouraged to apply to Humanities I. Interested applicants can take relevant courses within this program to work towards obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in Music.
