The BMus (Hons) Commercial Music Technology focuses on the creation, development and delivery of commercial audio. As audio creators, we are reliant on technologies which afford us many creative careers. The course encourages you to research and explore these technologies and their contextual practice, understanding their history and relevance to future associated industries.

The Music Production program is designed to prepare audio engineers and producers for vocational readiness from a Christian perspective. The program is designed to introduce the student to the tools and techniques used to produce music in the modern recording studio, while nurturing the student’s passion to serve the church or industry with Christian character.

From live music production to audio postproduction for film, television, and video games, you’ll cover a wide array of procedures and applications – all while working with the same gear found in professional studios.

The Music Recording Technology program is designed for student who desires a career in audio engineering, music recording, audio equipment design, sound reinforcement, broadcasting, audio sales, or studio maintenance. Students who complete this four year degree program, including one summer, earn a Bachelor of Science in Music with an emphasis in Audio Recording. Combining audio recording with music ensures that graduates are well prepared for successful employment in the music and entertainment industries.

The Bachelor of Science program is designed to prepare students for careers in Music Production + Recording Arts, with transferable audio skills applicable to Film, Television, Radio, Gaming, Theatre and Multi-Media professions.
