The Bachelor study programme Forestry, specialization in Forest Ecosystems Protection and Silviculture can be studied full-time or part-time. The three-year study provides a comprehensive education in biological, ecological, and technical subjects. The aim is to provide all students with broad theoretical knowledge regarding all the functions of forest ecosystems, their interconnectedness and their importance within 21st-century society. Also, the role of society in the management of natural resources and the use of these natural resources, including the role of forestry in the so-called bioeconomy, with the strong social aspect of sustainable use of forest ecosystems.

In this programme, you will study environmental processes, monitoring and data management on local and global scales. You will obtain knowledge of various ecosystems, climate and climate change, land forming processes and land use. You learn useful tools such as GIS, remote sensing and digital mapping for analyzing and presenting data. You also gain the perspective of human activities, exploitation of natural resources and development.
