Since September 2020, SBC and USST offer students a fantastic and unique opportunity to earn both a British bachelor degree and a Chinese bachelor degree. If international students have a strong desire to learn Chinese, they can be dual enrolled. After four years of study at SBC, students can earn both a British bachelor degree certificate from Liverpool John Moores University and a Chinese bachelor degree certificate from the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology (USST).
This major cultivates advanced engineering talents with international knowledge structure and international communication ability, good humanities and scientific literacy, solid basic knowledge of natural science and information engineering, strong engineering practice and sustainable learning ability, and can engage in research and development, design, manufacturing, operation and management in the fields of electronics, information science, electronic engineering, computer technology, etc.
Engineering knowledge: have solid basic knowledge of mathematics, physics and computer technology, master professional knowledge in the field of information science, and be able to use the knowledge learned to solve complex problems related to information engineering.
Problem analysis: be able to use the basic knowledge and professional knowledge to identify and express the scientific problems and complex engineering practical problems in the field of information engineering, and use academic journals and network databases for literature review, comparison and analysis to obtain effective conclusions.
Design/development solutions: be able to design solutions for problems in the field of information engineering, design systems, units (components) or processes to meet specific needs, meet the relevant international and domestic development, design, management and quality standards of the information engineering industry, meet specific application requirements, and reflect the sense of innovation in the design process, considering the social, health and safety, In addition, there are also many factors, such as law, culture and environment.
