Introduction
Chipola College will offer several new programs of study in Computer Information Technology and Network Systems. Computer Information Technology Certificates are available in Geographic Information Systems, Help Desk Support and IT Support Specialist. Network Systems Technology Certificates include Digital Forensics, Network Support Technician, Network/Cyber Security and Server Administration.
Students holding current IT certifications may be awarded credit for selected courses based on certifications. Programs emphasize various industry certifications including the CompTIA A+, Security+, and Network+ as well as various Microsoft network certifications. All courses taken may be counted towards an AS degree in Computer Information Technology. Students who plan to pursue an AS or AA degree will need additional credit hours. Students may complete general education requirements concurrently while completing the courses in these programs.
