Course Entry Requirements

During the first 2 years of the Events Management degree, students live on-site at our Practical Learning Centre, Leura campus. As part of the event management program, they undertake 2 industry placements that provide hands-on, practical experience in events management. Students’ final 6-months focus on business management. Classes are held at our non-residential, Executive Business Centre, Sydney campus.

Employment can also be found in the not-for-profit, financial and management sector, as well as with government agencies. Whether you start as an events assistant or events coordinator you will have the skills, practical experience and knowledge to support your career growth to secure roles as an events manager.
Graduates with an International Events Management degree combine an understanding of business management with specialist knowledge of corporate hospitality, sponsorships, and marketing.

Course Units Summary

The list below details each of the units within the International Events Management degree throughout the 2.5 years of study. Every effort is taken to ensure the accuracy of information units and lecturers do sometimes change. Current Students should always refer to the “Student and Staff Information System” (SSIS) for up to date information on lecturers, learning outcomes and assessment items.

Double Degree in the Blue Mountains

Once a student has completed a Bachelor of Business degree they can also attain a second Undergraduate degree in either International Hotel and Resort or International Restaurant and Catering with just an additional 5 units of study (12 to 24 weeks).
