This three-year Bachelor programme trains you in management and industrial engineering. You will learn to tackle practical problems in business from a technical academic background. In this programme, you will develop non-specialist knowledge of technologies and computer programs. In addition, you will gain leadership skills.

In your first year of Industrial Engineering and Management, you will take courses such as Organizational Behaviour and Business Economics. You will learn to work with devices and do simple measurements.You will start your second year by choosing one out of three profiles:

  • Process and Production Technology

This profile examines the process from raw material to final product. Often these final products are made from oil. You will focus on the pharmaceutical industry and dairy industry.

  • Product technology and Logistics

You will be taught how products, such as mobile phones or aeroplanes, are produced. You will study the production process, logistics, and control.

  • Biotechnology

In this profile, you will focus on ways to make bioproducts, such as food and biofuels, profitable.

Job perspectives

With a bachelor in Industrial Engineering and Management Science, your job prospects will be varied. Depending on your profile, you can work in management or at a business office where production is planned and costs are monitored. Refineries and the petrochemical industry also hire graduates. In addition, you can work at companies producing electronic devices or medicine, or in biotechnology. Some graduates choose to work for the government or the service industry.

Language requirements:

If you are a native English speaker or if you hold a Dutch VWO diploma, you are exempt from providing us with proof of your English language proficiency. If you need to provide proof, acceptable test scores are:

  • TOEFL IBT score of 92
  • TOEFL CBT score of 237
  • TOEFL PBT score of 580
  • IELTS score of 6.5
  • CAE or CPE certificate.

Previous education:

You will need a secondary education with qualifications for entrance to an undergraduate programme at a university. This includes:

  • UK - 3 A Levels
  • Germany - Abitur
  • International Baccalaureate Diploma - 24 points or higher.
