Are you creative, communicative and interested in the media world? If so then the Creative Business, Media Management course could be the right choice for you!
This English-taught course provides you with the essential business and management knowledge combined with sector-specific insights into the media and entertainment world. This programme prepares you for a successful career in the TV, radio, music or marketing communication sector. The first year provides you with an insight into multimedia technologies, media law, and business economics. Throughout the Creative Business course, you will participate in Design-Based Education which allows students to apply theory to real-life situations such as creating their own media productions. In the second year, you will dive into the field of branding and communication, media, and culture and media relations. During the third year, you will learn everything around strategic management and develop your management skills. Furthermore, you will specialize in a field of your choice. In the fourth and final year, you will do an internship and round off your studies with the Bachelor Thesis.
Specialisations you can choose from (amongst others) are:
- Music Management
- Integrated Digital Marketing
Graduates have gone on to work in areas such as Online Marketer, Media Manager, and Producer.
Depending on your educational background you may also be eligible for the fast track programme in Creative Business, Media Management which takes 3 years instead of 4 years.

- Four GCSE/GCE ‘O’ level passes plus two ‘A’ level passes

All Non-EER applicants are required to submit an English proficiency test with their application. Exceptions are made for students, who have had their preparatory education in a country where English is the official working and educational language. The language requirements for EER students are the same as for Dutch students. If your diploma is mentioned in this list the additional English language test is not required.
NHL Stenden accepts three kinds of official language tests: IELTS, TOEFL and the Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English.
- Academic IELTS 6.0 (with a minimum of 5.0 for each skill).
- TOEFL 550 (paper based), 213 (computer-based) and 80 (internet based). Original test results must be sent directly from the Educational Testing Service to NHL Stenden. The TOEFL institution code for NHL Stenden is 9215.
- Cambridge ESOL score CAE-C.
