The programme provides students with a specialised education in accounting and financial management. It is a preparation for employment and a career in accounting and financial management in a range of organisations. It serves as a basis for further academic and professional education and aims to produce capable, adaptable, resilient, and self-confident graduates with a capacity for independent thought and judgement.

Career Opportunities
The degree will serve as a preparation for a wide range of career choices in the field of accounting and finance: private practice, industry, commerce, banking, financial services, the commercial services sector and the voluntary and the government sectors.

Entry Requirements
Pass (Grade D3 or better) in five (5) Leaving Certificate subjects including Mathematics and English or Irish with a minimum of 140 points.
