The discipline of Economics is of great importance to commercial, social and professional life. The forces of the global economy affect the livelihoods and life chances of everyone on the planet but increasingly micro-economic decision making plays a part in all our daily lives from banking and financial services to public policy, education, and healthcare.
Our BSc Economics course will provide you with a profound understanding of the key factors that influence these economic forces; wealth and income creation and the nature of scarce resources and how they are allocated, distributed and utilized. You will explore the core concepts, practices and techniques of economics, and consider how these will change in the future.
UK/EU students £9,000 per year of full-time study
International students £10,400 per year of full-time study Please note that there are no additional fees to pay if you choose to take a year-long work placement between year two and three.
We normally make offers on a minimum of 260 UCAS tariff points, plus GCSE Maths and English Language at grade C. BTEC National Diploma/International Baccalaureate/Advanced Progression Diplomas at equivalent tariff. Access to HE - Pass. Applications from candidates without formal qualifications are welcomed.

English language requirements
You must have competence in English language and we normally require Grade C GCSE or an equivalent qualification. The most common English Language requirements for international students are IELTS 6.0 (with minimum 5.5 in all four components) or TOEFL internet based 72 (with at least 17 in listening & writing, 20 in speaking and 18 in reading).
Middlesex also offers an Intensive Academic English course (Pre-Sessional) that ranges from 5-17 weeks depending on your level of English. Successful completion of this course would meet English language entry requirements.
